A MOVEing Experience

Australia has some mighty fine motoring museums we can be proud of, with the Museum of Vehicle Evolution setting a genuinely world-class benchmark for the rest to follow.

Located in Shepparton in Northern Victoria, MOVE extends beyond the car to encompass everything that moves – bicycles, trucks, buses and more – it is genuinely very impressive.

However, for dedicated car lovers, there is a slice of anything and everything.

From classic to contemporary Aussies to the best of American and European motoring, MOVE features an impressive cross-section of how the automotive world has developed over time.

Take, for instance, a classic American Cord sitting alongside a Delorian, down the way from Ferraris to a Subaru BRZ to an electric Mini Moke and everything in between – the below gallery should give you an idea of the variety on show.

For race fans, the current selection on show is about as good as it gets.

When we visited in January 2024, the display included the all-conquering Nations Cup Monaros to a pair of Supercars, drag cars, a TCR Alfa, an S5000, and a selection of other obscurities – there was plenty to get around.

Open every day from 10am to 4pm, MOVE is a perfect sideshow to your next trip to Winton Raceway, with the significant facility located less than an hour of easy country motoring from the track.
