Regional Motorsport Facility Adapted for Sim Racing

Club racers rejoice – a popular regional motorsport facility has been adapted for sim racing!

Here at The Race Torque, we have become massive fans of the Bryant Park Hillclimb, arguably the best facility of its type in the country, with RustyRussell this week releasing an Assetto Corsa mod for the venue.

And like the real article, the virtual reproduction features all the layouts and combinations that hillclimbers and khanacross competitors from across Victoria have come to love.

Included in the build are all of the massive elevation changes, plus wicked corner combinations that can be attacked from both directions.

Like real-life, track combinations in the sim include the full hillclimb course in both directions, the ‘Figure 8’ configuration, plus the short hillclimb course with a quick down and up layout.

The Bryant Park build also takes a dive into the virtual realm, with the possibility to run multiple vehicles on track.

Adding to the very real conditions experienced in Gippsland, RainFX and lightning are included, plus GrassFX, waiting to catch out those who tour away from the thin ribbon of bitumen.

The build is the first for a hillclimb facility in Australia.

Since 2008, the Gippsland Car Club’s venue has shown the way for club-run facilities in the nation.

Over the years, the venue has played host to numerous titles, including the 2024 Australian Hillclimb Championship.
