Radical Cup Australia signs new major backer

WORKHORSE, one of Sydney’s premier Diesel truck repair centres, will back the Radical Cup Australia Series in 2023.

The Workhorse Radical Cup Australia will contest a five-round series this year, commencing at Sydney Motorsport Park at the Motorsport Australia Trophy Series event on June 16-18.

Based just around the corner from Sydney Motorsport Park, Workhorse Fleet Maintenance and Workhorse Collision Repairs has developed a reputation for providing outstanding customer service, quality workmanship and extensive knowledge in the Heavy transportation industry.

The business has experience in the light and heavy vehicle repair industry and are a one-stop shop for all light and heavy trucks, trailers, buses and earth moving equipment.

The Australian business will join forces with the newly re-launched one-make Radical series, which burst onto the Australian motorsport scene last year with a highly competitive series.

Workhorse branding will appear on all Radical SR3 entries competing in this year’s championship, while the brand will access the ability for customers and supporters to experience a thrilling passenger ride experience at points across the year.

Within the new partnership, the series will also support the Workhorse-affiliated ‘Race for a Cure’ initiative, created by racers Michael and Ben Kavich, and Ben’s wife Toula, with fundraising proceeds going to Breast Cancer Trials in their bid to find a cure for the disease.

BEN KAVICH – Workhorse

“As a racer I know how much enthusiasm and interest there is for the Radical brand both here and around the world. It’s an exciting series and what the team at Radical Australia East and West have put together between them is outstanding.

“They’re a professional series with great fields, exciting racing and most importantly a great group of people behind them.

“As a business we see not only an incredible marketing opportunity but also, great engineering-based synergies whilst also sharing the passion to continue to strive for outstanding results in all we do.

“We’re looking forward to the year and being involved with the series for the first time.”

CHARISE BRISTOW – Category Manager, Radical Cup Australia

“Ben, Michael and the team at Workhorse understand motorsport and our conversations about partnering this year have been generated out of everyone’s mutual love of the sport.

“There are a lot of opportunities for our two businesses to work together, especially given Sydney Motorsport Park and Eastern Creek – where Workhorse are located – are the East Coast hubs for Radical competition in Australia.

“We’re proud to have them on board this year to work together to build the series in its second year. We’ve got some cool things planned and we can’t wait to get on track.”
