Prostate Cancer Foundation announced as official B12HR charity

THE PROSTATE CANCER FOUNDATION of Australia will become the official Charitable Partner of the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour in 2025.

Already a well-known participant within the race, via their partnership with Scott Taylor Motorsport, the event is proud to announce a multi-year relationship with the Foundation moving forward.

That will see the event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for a disease that effects around 26,000 men each year, with over 3,900 losing their lives.

Fundraising points and volunteers will be in place around the circuit to support fundraising efforts, while the extensive broadcast and media coverage will help raise critical awareness for men to ‘get checked’ throughout the build-up, during and post-race next January and February.

The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia has been involved with Australia’s International enduro since 2022, when they first paired with Scott Taylor Motorsport – a relationship that has continued across the last three years.

Along the way the program has already raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Foundation, as well as creating significant exposure and awareness via both the team and the event.

Further details about how people can donate to the Foundation and their role in Australia’s International Enduro will be announced closer to the January 30 – February 2 event next year.

Tickets, Camping and Corporate experiences remain on sale for the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, available via the official event website, www.bathurst12hour.com.au

CEO, Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia

“We are tremendously proud to be named the Official Charity of the Bathurst 12 Hour, Australia’s premier international endurance race.

“This three-year agreement will drive money-can’t-buy awareness, reminding Australian men to get checked for prostate cancer.

“Our volunteers and supporters are looking forward to making the pilgrimage to the famous Mt Panorama Circuit to kick start the Australian motorsport season and fly the flag for men impacted by prostate cancer.

“This is a game-changing partnership that will put Australia in pole position to lift prostate cancer survival and continue our drive towards zero deaths from the disease in the next ten years.”

Shane Rudzis,
Event Director, Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour

“The work that the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia does is so vital for men’s health and we are proud to partner with them as our official charity moving forward.

“Through their efforts with Scott Taylor’s team they have already achieved incredible things and as the official event charity we hope to take that to a new level again.

“Our partners at MotorActive, our teams, competitors and fans are already so supportive of what they do and will all be involved in making sure the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour does everything it can to help raise awareness and important funds to help the Foundation.”
