Gun Chinese Porsche Incoming
Phantom Global Racing, a new team formed in partnership with Timo Bernhard’s Team 75 Motorsport, is set to make its racing debut at the 2024 Bathurst 12 Hour. The Chinese squad will enter a trio of talented young drivers into the famous Australian event, with 2020 Bathurst 12 Hour Pro-Am runner-up Jaxon Evans, 2023 Porsche Supercup champion Bastian Buus and Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) race winner Joel Eriksson aboard the #13 Porsche 911 GT3 R (Type 992). Backed by Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific, Phantom Global Racing will also count on Porsche Motorsport’s comprehensive technical support, along with Bernhard’s Team 75

NASH MORRIS will join Scott Taylor Motorsport to contest the 2024 Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Championship. Morris will drive the #222 STM machine for the full championship, following a successful debut in one-make Porsche racing in 2023 with a partial Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge campaign. Despite missing the first two rounds of the series, Morris finished sixth overall in the Sprint Challenge Series this year, claiming eight race victories and round wins at Queensland Raceway and at Mount Panorama, Bathurst. The precinct was immaculate, the added features well thought out, and the concerts sensational. Having the likes of Richard Childress in the Erebus bunker, Dave Kindig and Kevin Schiele hosting the Kindig Custom Car Show bought a lot to the event. Oh, the 2 x 250 km races to close the season were also highly entertaining.
