Kiwis Coming to Carrera Cup
IN a Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Championship first, four wild-card entries from New Zealand will join the grid when the series competes at Taupo this April. Carrera Cup will join the Repco Supercars Championship at the ITM Taupo 400 on April 19-21, a full field of Type-992 Porsche GT3 Cup Cars to cross the Tasman in what will be the second round of the 2024 championship. Prolific Australian open-wheeler constructor Borland Racing Developments (BRD) has sold its successful Sabre Formula Vee brand to long-time racing associates, Junior Racing Developments (JRD). The sale inaugurates a new name for the brand in Sabre Racing Cars, and will see JRD taking over manufacture and development rights of the Sabres 01 and 02 from BRD – including the production of fresh chassis and spare parts. THE SCHEDULE for the 2024 Repco Bathurst 12 Hour has been set, with four days of on-track action and off-track events locked in at Mount Panorama this February 15-18. The 12-Hour event kicks off the broader Bathurst SuperFest this February.
