THE FIRST major prize of the 2023 Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Championship will be up for grabs when the one-make Porsche pack descends on Melbourne's Sandown Raceway in Victoria this week. Australia's nominee for the annual Porsche Junior Shootout will be decided at Sandown, with the top driver in the Michelin Junior Championship following this weekend's round to head to Europe later this year. The Porsche Junior Shootout puts the top junior drivers from global Porsche one-make championships head to head, with the winner claiming a scholarship prize to contest the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Championship in 2024.

Motorsport Australia has outlined its plans for the 2024 Shannons SpeedSeries with the release of next year’s draft calendar. Featuring a mammoth ten rounds across eight different venues, the season will begin in Victoria at the iconic Sandown International Raceway on 9-11 February, before a trip south for Australian Racing Group’s Race Tasmania event on 15-17 March. While the calendar is subject to change, Phillip Island is then expected to welcome the Shannons SpeedSeries at the iconic Victorian venue on 12-14 April before the series makes its return to Shell V-Power Motorsport Park (The Bend) in May.
